COOS COUNTY OUTREACH
HRACC’s Coos County Outreach program focuses on providing direct support and essential resources to those most in need within our community. Through partnerships with local businesses, schools, and organizations, we address urgent needs and foster connections that empower individuals and strengthen our community.
Areas Of Focus
Community Collaborations
Local Business Partners: HRACC collaborates with businesses to provide resources, including food, laundry support, and other essentials. These partnerships ensure that individuals experiencing hardship have access to basic needs with dignity.
Event-Based Support: Community events such as Pinwheels for Peace and Celebration of Life bring schools, nonprofits, and local organizations together in solidarity, fostering unity through hands-on support and shared experiences.
Outreach Programs in Schools: HRACC works with schools to bring awareness to issues like homelessness, hunger, and mental health. These collaborations support a culture of empathy and service among young community members, encouraging youth involvement in outreach
Direct Support Services
SunStore: A community resource distribution “store” providing essentials like clothing, hygiene products, and food to those in need. The SunStore operates with dignity and respect, allowing individuals to access necessary items free of charge.
Transportation Assistance: By partnering with local transportation providers, HRACC ensures that individuals without reliable transportation can access events, resources, and services essential to their well-being. This support helps overcome barriers to participation and resources, connecting individuals to the community.
Building a Stronger Community
Our Coos County Outreach program is dedicated to creating an environment where every individual is supported and valued. By addressing immediate needs, fostering connections, and building partnerships, we work toward a Coos County that is resilient, inclusive, and compassionate.
“Every connection strengthens us. Join us in making Coos County a place where everyone has the support they need. Whether you’re in search of resources, looking to volunteer, or simply want to make a difference, we welcome you to be part of this community of care.”
